5 out of 5 stars Huge Difference Maker, TRY IT, IT'S AWESOME!!!   November 23, 2008
I bought this cream for my wife because she was having trouble with dry and cracked nipples, well, most first-time breast feeding moms have this kind of problem, the difference this has made is huge, because she has told me her nipples have completely healed and she's no longer in pain when feeding our baby, he eats a lot during the day and she keeps on telling me how different she feels, she no longer has that burning sensation when our baby is eating.br /br /The MAIN PLUS for us is the fact that this you simply aplly it and forget about it, it's not harmful for our baby boy, and she gets a refreshing sensation everytime she applies it, you must apply it everytime before or after breastfeeding and we guarantee you'll see the big change, we highly recommend this product, oh!, and it is also sponsored by LA LECHE LEAGUE.br /br /Bottom line is..., you will not regret this purchase , $13 to get rid of cracked and dry nipples, SOLD! :D

5 out of 5 stars great for other things, too   August 30, 2008
My baby is four and I just bought more of this! He's not still nursing- this product is the only one that cures my cracked heels. I work out doors in all kinds of weather and just about every foot ointment I've tried was a waste of money. This stuff doesn't just disappear, but penetrates and stays put all day. br /AS for nursing- I didn't intend to use this or any lanolin product, becuase I have long time allergies to wool-alcohols and products containing lanolin. Still we came home from the hospital with many samples and soon enough I was desperate enough to try it. All the 100% lanolin nursing products seem to be of a high purity grade and didn't bother me at all- they are considered digestible. Its stickiness is what makes it great for nursing, because, unlike petroleum, it lubricates throughout a feeding and doesn't just rub off on your clothes. My kid seemed to have an especially sensitive and rash prone behind . This product healed a few awful sores when nothing else worked. While some general use lanolin products are reputed to smell bad, this one is odorless. Still, I mix it with some essential oils for use on my feet, just because I like to. Of all similar products, I found this brand to be the least expensive.

1 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money   June 18, 2008
This product is very sticky and messy. It did not help me. I used the gerber balm and within a day it helped my nipples feel all better. It also costs less and is not messy at all.

5 out of 5 stars The BEST for breastfeeding moms   February 25, 2008

I think that this is the best and most helpful product for nursing moms. Nursing moms don't really need much to nurse. It's just them and baby. If you decide to forgo other nursing luxuries like nursing pillows and covers, stools, rockers, fancy nursing bras, etc., don't go without this lanolin. This is what has seen me through. This is what kept me nursing in those rough days in the beginning. I have used this with three of my children. I wish I had it for my first, but I had not discovered it yet. It may have kept me going a little longer. This is an absolute necessity for nursing moms. One tube will last you through weaning. A very little bit of this goes a long way. It is safe to latch baby on after an application, too. I cannot endorse this product enough. I also use this for everything. If one of the kids or I have a cut or scrape I apply this and it heals so quickly. I also use this for chapped lips in the winter and I can tell you there is nothing else like it. This is my #1 product that I could not do without as far as breastfeeding items go. HIGHLY recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Prenatal use?   January 18, 2008

In anticipation of our upcoming baby, I took the tube out of the box and noted for the first time that the instructions also recommend its application in the third trimester; as a preconditioner. A customer testimonial included in the packaging indicated that having started the treatment *before* the arrival of her 3rd child made her last breastfeeding experience pain/crack free. Just thought I'd mention this since I haven't seen it discussed in any of the other reviews. I'll let y'all know how it goes! This will be our first baby. Btw, it is slimier than vaseline!
